Do I Know You? Less than a MONTH away!

Hey guys! Sorry it's been over a month since we have posted anything here! Summer is always lacking in any good HIMYM news! Fortunately, the season 4 premiere of How I Met Your Mother is less than a month away! THAT'S RIGHT! September 22 is now only weeks away! We know more than anyone that this is still torture having to wait this long, but we are sure to get more news and pictures about the upcoming season. For instance, the first episode of the season will be titled, "Do I Know You?". I can feel the sarcasm rolling off all of our readers, "WOW! The title of the first episode! This is huge!..." Cue eye roll. But we'll be on the lookout for any more news so just...bear with us! Thanks you guys! BARNEY/ROBIN!

Bro Code To Be Published, Mother Idenity Sequences Already Filmed, and Barney/Robin (Stinbatsky) Conflicts

In an article posted on chicagotribune.com, creators of How I Met Your Mother discuss many topics ranging from Bro Code to Stinbatsky Ode. First, Barney's famous "Bro Code" will actually be writeen and published for the public! Hitting shelves in late November, the "Bro Code" should be a great Christmas (or Hanukkah) present for any How I Met Your Mother fan! Thomas and Bays also discuss how they are going to go about with explaining the mother. They aren't ruling out that Stella is the mother, thanks to they love they feel towards having Sarah Chalke on the show. They also said that the only filming that has been done with the revealing of the mother has been with Lyndsy Fonseca and David Henrie, the two kids who play Ted's daughter and son. But what matters the most to us, is talk of what will happen at the start of the fourth season for Barney and Robin. Apparently, the first six episodes will reflect heavily on Barney's relationship with Robin. For more information you can read the article here. September 22 can't come fast enough!

Neil Patrick Harris Discusses Barney/Robin Relationship

In an interview with TV Guide, Neil Patrick Harris (interviewed at McGee's bar in NYC, the inspiration for McClaren's Pub) discusses what he thinks of the Barney and Robin relationship: what he thinks it means and also what he thinks will happen. There's also a little comment about Britney Spears's performance on the show. It's a funny interview with some "Cobie is smokin'!" talk, despite Harris being gay in real life. You can check out the amazing clip here!

HIMYM: Season 4, Episode 1

According to tv.com, the first episode already entails some "Barney-loves-Robin" plot. On the episode summary on the website, it has underneath the date (Monday, September 22, 2008) the very small description:

"Stella has to give Ted an answer. Barney wants to say something to Robin" tv.com.

Does this mean that Barney tells Robin in the first episode that he loves her? No clue, but we're sure that we're all eager to see their relationship unfold in this upcoming season! You can share your answer in the poll below!

Also, what will Stella's answer be? But we understand that that's the least of all our concerns for the show at this moment....

Let's Celebrate A Belated Birthday to....Neil Patrick Harris

Neil Patrick Harris, known for playing roles in Doogie Howser, M.D., Harold & Kumar/White Castle/Guantanamo Bay, and of course, How I Met Your Mother, turned thirty-five this past Father's Day. The June 15th Birthday Boy grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico and grew up in Ruidoso, New Mexico. He picked up theatre in elementary school, playing such roles as Toto in The wizard of Oz. Not longer after, in 1989, he landed the role of a lifetime in, Doogie Howser, M.D. Starring as the title character, NPH jump-started his career. This also landed him with several awards including a People's Choice Award for Favorite Male Performer in a New Series (1990) and a Golden Globe Nomination (1990).When the show ended in 1993, Neil worked on stage productions, some being Fiddler On The Roof and Rent. He then appeared in some feature films: Starship Troopers (1997) along with Casper Vien Dien, and The Proposition (1998). NPH found himself more and more on the small screen (a guest appearance on the show Numb3rs), until his latest role as Barney Stinson in How I Met Your Mother. The show began in 2005, and will return with its fourth season in the Fall of 2008. Unlike his character as the womanizer Barney, NPH in real life is actually gay. Neil told people in November of 2006 that he was homosexual, and luckily, his career is still up and running. He must be a great actor to portray a character like Barney! So happy (belated) birthday NPH! You've got fans right here!

"We knew we wanted to get to that because they’re great together and we thought we’d get a lot of funny and interesting stuff out of it".

According to the article, the creators saw Barney and Robin as a great team since the first season in Zip, Zip, Zip. We also have some more repercussion between the two of them to look forward to, as well as getting deeper into their relationship. To read the entire article, you can go here.

He Loves Her, Yeah! Yeah! Yeah!

On April 28th, 2008, we got teased by the creators by having Barney and Robin kiss...and then sleep together. But then Barney's tension with Ted, Ted's relationship with Stella, and Marshall and Lily's pilgrimage to Happy Coupleville, the idea of Barney and Robin was driven from the main plot of the season. But us 'Stinbatsky' shippers were wishin', and hopin', and dreamin', and we held on tight to our BroTP faith. Then, on May 19th, 2008, thanks to a car/bus accident hospitalizing Ted and Barney respectfully, not to mention Ted and Barney becoming Bros again, our hope was restored for the Barney/Robin pairing. No, not restored....CONFIRMED!!!!!!! We officially have proof that Barney is IN LOVE WITH ROBIN!!!!! Hold on....EEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! Okay, good! Marshall asked Barney if, when the bus hit him, whether or not he saw anything he loved; then Lily and himself start making jokes about how Barney must have seen boobs, or suits, or boobs in suit, or a giant boob in a giant suit. However, just then Robin walks into Barney's hospital room and we, of course, see him give her a significant loving look; she, of course, doesn't see. Barney just agrees with Marshall and Lily, but we now know where Barney Stinson's heart lies....with Robin! So this must mean that Robin and Barney will be living with Ted next year, as many of you (and us) predicted on the last poll. So if anyone of you cried when you found that BARNEY LOVES ROBIN(!!!!!), know that you are not alone (and you could tell everyone how you feel in our new poll!). As soon as the episode becomes available on cbs.com, we will post it on the blog. And remember, as you wake up tomorrow, as you take a shower, as you head off to work/school, and when things begin to seem that things are going downhill, just remember......

BARNEY LOVES ROBIN! BARNEY LOVES ROBIN! BARNEY LOVES ROBIN!!!!!!

P.S. Also, Ted "proposes" to Stella in what is supposed to be the cliffhanger of the season (look how THAT turned out....). All those who say it won't last say, "I!" That's what we thought.

Slow News Week/New Episode

Sorry guys, it's been a slow news week for Barney and Robin (and HIMYM in general). But there is, of course, a new episode tomorrow titled, Rebound Bro. Several things are to happen in this episode: Ted meets Stella's daughter, Lucy; Barney gets a new "bro"; and apparently, Stella tells Ted a secret which he blabs, and thus he must face the consequences. See, Ted, we all have to face consequences! You don't like it so much now that's you!!! Sorry, Lanie and I feel that Ted was a bit to hard on Barney......Tune it tomorrow to find out what happens next!

The Goat Recap

So Barney and Robin slept together...I think it was expected. Luckily, they didn't keep with the sitcom cliche of keeping it a secret from everyone for months (something that has popped up more frequently since Chandler and Monica hid their affair in Friends). Robin and Barney agree not to tell anyone, to keep things normal, but they both let it slip; Barney to Marshall, and Robin, surprisingly, to Ted. Barney enlists Marshall's lawyer skills to find a loop-hole in the "Bro Code" so he doesn't feel so bad about sleeping with Robin. To Barney's dismay, Marshall insists that the code is "iron clad" and says that Barney needs to confront Ted. Barney and Marshall think about whether or not Ted as withheld the "Bro Code", and find that Ted has followed every rule. Meanwhile, Robin takes care of that problem when she guiltily lets it slip that she and Barney slept together. Barney picks up Ted for his "surprise" birthday party on the roof and tries to take him to Vegas to get him in the good mindset before Barney tells him the truth. However, Ted reveals that he knows about him and Robin, and says he's not mad, weirded out, but not mad. This was a trick (a pretty mean one for Ted) and Barney learns that Ted feels he has outgrown Barney. Ted says he doesn't want to be Barney's friend anymore. While all of this is happening, Lily, Marshall, and Robin are all on the roof (with the goat) discussing what happened with Barney. Ted shows up with the party, without Barney, and the story ends. In about a thirty second clip at the end of the episode, Ted begins to explain how the goat (Lily had a farmer in her kindergarten class who was going to turn the goat to the butcher shop, Lily takes it to the apartment) ended up in the bathroom. Future Ted starts to explain that the goat locked itself into the bathroom chewing on one of Robin's washcloths, when he corrects himself by saying, "Wait hold on; Robin wasn't living here on my thirtieth birthday. When did this happen? Oh, wait, the goat was there on my thirty-first birthday! Sorry, I totally got that wrong" cuts to black.

Now, we have some theories about what Ted said: either, it's the dreadful truth, and Robin and Ted get back together for a period of time; or, hopefully and for reasons yet to be found, Ted and Barney have reconciled, Barney and Robin are a couple, and they are living with Ted. (Remember, Lily and Marshall have their own apartment.) We believe that this may be so because Ted doesn't say, "Robin was living with me on my thirty-first birthday" he says, "Robin was living here on my thirty-first birthday". We are hoping that this is the case. Barney and Robin will hopefully find their way to each other...and not just in bed. *crosses their fingers*

We've just added a new affiliate to the site (check below)!!!!! "It's Quid Pro Bro" is dedicated to screen caps that have to do with Barney and Robin.

It hasn't been updated yet to Sandcastles in the Sand (the episode that, you know...), but it still has really good stolen moments of the "Stinbatsky" coupling!

Barney and Robin What?

Hello, and welcome to Barney and Robin: A HIMYM Romance. If you are unfamiliar with the show How I Met Your Mother on CBS, we'll catch you up. How I Met Your Mother, or HIMYM for short, is narrated by Ted Moseby (Josh Radnor and Bob Saget as the voice of future Ted) in 2030, who tells his children the looooooong story of how he met their mother, his wife, in a series of flashbacks set in today's time. Ted has been friends with Lily (Alyson Hannigan) and Marshall (Jason Segal) since college, and since their engagement, Ted realizes that what he would like most, is to start a family. Unfortunately for Ted, his friend, Barney (Neil Patrick Harris), doesn't have that in mind. Barney is a player, sleeping around from woman to woman, and would like Ted to join in on the fun. On Ted's hunt for his soul mate, he sees Robin (Cobie Smulders), and it is love at first sight. Now, we know what you are thinking. Ted and Robin? I thought this was about Barney and Robin! Now it's time for the extremely fast catch-up: Ted likes Robin; Robin doesn't like Ted; Ted dates someone else; Robin now likes Ted; Ted and Robin get together; Ted and Robin are happy, then split up; Robin and Ted are now both single. Whew! Now here's where our blog comes in. In Season One, during Robin's crush on Ted, Robin and Barney go on a "boys night out" and find that, surprisingly they get along very well. Barney misinterprets this and thinks that he and Robin will...you know... Unfortunately, this doesn't happen. However, their chemistry is too apparent to pass up. This blog is dedicated to the inevitable romance that is slowly blooming between Robin and Barney. So stick with us and we hopefully have an legion of Barney and Robin fans. Thank you.
